Quality of Service
 
Transfusion Medicine Unit are very concerned about the quality of services rendered on the basis of a fiduciary duty. Service quality can be assessed through;
a. Activities provision of patient specimens for testing
b. the testing process
c. information processing
d. test report
e. The practice of medical ethics
 
Quality of service also includes activities in the ward or clinic, namely;
a. Communication before and after the test Filling application form fully
b. Shipment of specimens in accordance with the rules set
c. Other support activities (laboratory information systems, administration)
 
Service quality can be further enhanced with the cooperation of the wards, clinics, and other support groups are also effective and efficient. Transfusion Medicine Unit strives to improve the quality of services through;
a. Continuing education and training to the staff.
b. Evaluation and improvement of work processes and services.
c. Updating of test methods and tools.
d. Monitoring and evaluation of the quality of the analytical procedure through programs Internal and External Quality Control.
e. Audit and evaluation regularly

Confidentiality of Test Results-Test Laboratory
 
Every staff at the Department of Hematology subject to the Confidentiality Undertaking comprising:
a. Concealing, storing, maintaining and controlling the results of laboratory tests which are managed by the laboratory / department;
b. Maintain the confidentiality of patient test results.
c. Hearted laboratory services
 
Practicing effective communication, maintain the confidentiality of information, the right to practice working procedures in the laboratory and the laboratory's compliance to a security policy.
 
Quality Test Results
 
MS ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 15189: 2014
 
Transfusion Medicine Unit has been certified to comply with the certification standards of MS ISO 9001: 2008 (Registration Number: AR1603) on 4 November 2010 and has been in compliance with the standards of MS ISO 15189: 2014 is equivalent to the MS ISO / IEC 17025: 2001 (Registration Number: 480) on 1 November 2010 from the Department of Standards Malaysia (SAMM). MS ISO 9001: 2008 is a quality management Department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Unit in providing the best service and high quality. MS ISO 15189 certification means the tests conducted at the Laboratory of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Unit is the quality and international standard. Now, the Transfusion Medicine Unit has been accredited with MS ISO 15189: 2014 new version starting in 2015.
 
Quality Environment Practice QE / 5S
 
Department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Unit was awarded the certification of quality environmental practices QE / 5S on Transfusion Medicine Unit in 2012 and Hematology Department in 2013.

Internal Quality Control
 
Quality supervision routinely include procedures that should be practiced by all laboratory staff in the process of analyzing and releasing the results of laboratory tests quickly and accurately. Services Quality control of diagnostic and analytical hematology monitored and assessed by testing specimens and quality control standards before patient specimens analyzed.
 
External Quality Control
 
Transfusion Medicine Unit took part in these quality control programs;
a. Royal Australasian College of Pathologist of External Quality Assurance Programme (QAP RCPA).
b. External Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS), National Serology Reference Laboratory (NRL), Australia.
 
All routine tests and some specialized tests involved in the programs of the external quality. External quality controls to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of test results that are offered by the Transfusion Medicine Unit.
