Veera Nadarajan is currently Clinical Professor at the Department of Preclinical Sciences, University Tunku Abdul Rahman. His main areas of interest are in transfusion medicine and cellular therapies, medical education and medical informatics.

He has more than 20 years of experience in transfusion medicine, with diverse research interests that include blood group serology, blood donor care and molecular haematology. He is also actively involved in teaching and training of doctors and sits on several national committees with regards to curriculum development, specialist accreditation and quality standards.

He has served in the past as the ISBT regional director for the Asia Pacific region and member of the ISBT Academy. He is currently a member of the ISBT Education Project Steering Committee as well as the Working Party on Global Blood Safety. He is also a member of the editorial board for Vox Sanguinis.

Dr. Nor Hafizah graduated with Medical Degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2004 and Master in Medicine (Transfusion Medicine) from USM in 2013. Her area of interest is Immunohematology(Region Medical Skane University Lund & Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine Office for Medical Services, Lund, Sweden). Patient Blood Management/Clinical Transfusion (Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge, Stockholm).

Currently she holds the position as Head of Clinical Transfusion Division, Transfusion Medicine Specialist, Institution National Blood Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2018. Previously, 2013 - 2015 Transfusion Medicine Specialist, National Blood Centre, Malaysia. 2016 - 2017 Head of Immunohematology Division, National Blood Centre Malaysia.

  3. 2018 - current: A Phase III open label, Multicentre Extension Study to Assess the Safety & Efficacy of Recombinat Coagulation Factor VIII (rVIII-SingleChain, CSL627) In Subjects with Severe Hemophilia A
  4. 2013: Usage of Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) in Hospital Kuala Lumpur
  5. 2021: Hemoglobin level during pregnancy and the associated outcome in maternity patients.

Derived Medicinal Products on 5 to 6 March 2020 at Holiday Inn Malacca, Malaysia (ISBT Co-organize with the Malaysian Blood Transfusion Society)

3. Successfully bid to host the 37th ISBT International Congress 2022 Kuala Lumpur but unfortunately change to Virtual format due to Covid Pandemic.
